Yassroad Tyres & Mechanicals is the big blue shed on Bayldon Road. Pink and blue slips, new tyres, air-con regas and proper mechanical work, seven days a week from 9am to 5pm.
Rego checks
The right-hand arrow on the shed points you to rego checks, and it means it. We're a Roads & Maritime Authorised Safety Check station, with the Approved Inspection Station sign on the wall next to it. If your car needs a pink slip, a blue slip, an identity and design check or a defect notice cleared, it all happens here, and if something needs fixing to pass, the workshop is right behind you.

The workshop
Behind the roller door is a working shed with hoists, a wall of parts and a tyre rack, run by owner John and his crew since 2013. One customer summed it up: John is extremely knowledgeable and happy to explain, in detail, what is needed.
We're open every day of the week, Saturday and Sunday included, so a breakdown on the weekend doesn't have to wait until Monday. One customer rolled in at midday on a Saturday with a windscreen motor that needed fitting and was sorted in an hour and ten minutes.

We went to see John and his team on Saturday afternoon and they gave us fantastic attention and assistance. One of the staff was immediately put on our issue and tried to sort it. Unfortunately it was beyond what could be achieved in the last hour of the day.
John is extremely knowledgeable and happy to explain (in detail) what is needed. His staff are courteous and polite and have been happy to spend time with me as the customer going over what they’re doing and what is needed for the car.

I arrived on Saturday at 12.pm and John asked what was wrong . I had already got my motor for windscreen and he said we can fix this. Within an hour and 10 minutes it was fixed. I was very impressed .. Thanks John and team
